Mitochondria-SR Communication: Calcium, ROS and Bioenergetics Signaling in Cardiac Muscle Cells

My lab is seeking one postdoctoral fellow and one lab manager to conduct research in mitochondria-SR

crosstalk signaling in healthy and diseased cardiac muscle cells. The lab currently focuses on elucidating

the mechanisms of energetic homeostasis in the beating heart, privileged Ca2+ transport from SR to

mitochondria, the non-canonical role of DRP1 in regulating cardiac energetics, and various forms of

mitochondrial permeability transition pores.
